# New Zealand company due diligence

Follow a repeatable process to search the NZBN register, open a relevant entity and summarise the fields returned by the source.

## When to use it

Use this workflow for initial company research and business-context preparation when the NZBN register is an appropriate source.

## How it works

1. **Search** Call nzbn_search using the business name supplied for research.
2. **Select** Show candidate names and NZBNs. Ask which result the person means when more than one match is plausible.
3. **Read details** Use nzbn_get_entity with the selected 13-digit NZBN and a valid detail level.
4. **Summarise** Describe returned source fields and identify gaps for review.

## Tool dependencies

- [nzbn_search](https://aroai.com/tools/nzbn_search): Search public NZBN records by name.
- [nzbn_get_entity](https://aroai.com/tools/nzbn_get_entity): Read public details for the chosen identifier.

## Delivery and permissions

The published skill is delivered through Aroai's MCP resource and prompt surfaces. Client support differs. The public skill page is reference material; it does not activate a native Agent Skill or a Skills-over-MCP extension in every host.

## Review note

Do not infer directors, shareholders or other data absent from the returned source record. A company lookup is not a full due diligence conclusion.
