Connect, authenticate, then try a task.
Add Aroai as a custom MCP server from ChatGPT’s Plugins experience. You do not need to enable Developer Mode first; account and workspace policies still determine who can create and use a connection.
- 01
Open Plugins and select the plus button, then Add custom MCP server.
- 02
Enter https://mcp.aroai.com/v1 and configure the authentication method for your Aroai workspace.
- 03
Review and acknowledge the server risk warning, then create the plugin and inspect its discovered tools.
OAuth
Choose OAuth for the remote MCP server and complete the Aroai workspace sign-in when the client opens its authorization flow.
Check this client’s feature support
Custom MCP connections and full MCP support on ChatGPT web are available to Business and Enterprise/Edu customers. Pro custom servers are limited to read/fetch. Business workspace admins/owners create and publish connections; Enterprise/Edu admins can grant selected members permission to create them.
The current Plugins flow does not require Developer Mode. ChatGPT custom MCP connections are web only. Review and accept the risk warning and follow your workspace’s app permissions. Tool-list changes do not automatically update an approved snapshot; an authorised admin must refresh it.

A successful connection only confirms the client can reach the server. Use a recipe to discover a relevant tool, inspect the returned fields and review what still needs attention.
