Connect Aroai to n8n

Use a current n8n MCP Client Tool with Streamable HTTP to add Aroai tools to an AI workflow.

Streamable HTTP

Set up n8n

Connect, authenticate, then try a task.

Use the MCP Client Tool to consume Aroai’s external tools from an n8n AI workflow. This is different from exposing an n8n workflow through the MCP Server Trigger.

Authentication method
Authorization header
Authorization: Bearer aroai_live_YOUR_SECRET_KEY
  1. 01

Choose a current MCP Client Tool node whose transport includes HTTP Streamable.

  2. 02

Set the Aroai endpoint and configure an authentication credential supported by that node.

  3. 03

Discover tools and test a small workflow, including its error branch and usage behavior.

API key

Select a bearer-token or header-auth credential supported by this MCP Client Tool node, then set the Authorization header shown below.

Protect credentials. Create an API key under API keys in your Aroai portal. Configure it using your client's protected credential store. Never commit a live key or replace this example placeholder with a real secret in a shared configuration.

Check this client’s feature support

Official n8n node source documents HTTP Streamable support in newer node versions, while the v1 configuration uses an “SSE Endpoint” field. Pin the actual n8n release and node version in your workflow and test the chosen OAuth or bearer credential path.

If the installed node only offers an SSE Endpoint field, update to a release that supports Streamable HTTP before connecting. Aroai does not expose an SSE endpoint.

After setup

Run one useful call.

A successful connection only confirms the client can reach the server. Use a recipe to discover a relevant tool, inspect the returned fields and review what still needs attention.
