Aroai platform connection
Convenient default on a supported source. Its credit cost can include the upstream provider expense.
Provider keys and usage
Understand when a workspace provider key can reduce Aroai credits, how platform-run sources are billed and what providers are on the roadmap.
Aroai can run supported upstream processing on its platform connection by default. For connectors that accept workspace provider keys, an organisation can choose its own licensed key. If the customer key removes an upstream pass-through cost, the Aroai credit charge may be lower; the exact live credit amount is shown on the published tool page.

Use a provider account and key your organisation controls. The provider may bill you directly; only a published eligible tool can receive a different Aroai credit price.
Key requirements, credit differences and limits belong on each live catalog entry.
The NZBN business-search and entity tools accept an optional workspace source key. They each cost one Aroai credit with the platform key or customer key, so there is no current NZBN credit saving. The other released utilities do not use paid upstream processing.
Search through Tavily, web extraction or scraping through Apify, geocoding or mapping, and document OCR through providers such as Azure or Mistral are candidate examples for future connectors. They are not live connections by virtue of appearing here. Provider, availability, credential storage, licenses and exact cost behavior must be confirmed for each published tool.
Only add keys through the workspace's supported integration controls after reviewing the provider terms, intended data and required scope. Do not place API keys in prompts, public examples, client-side source code or enquiries. A provider key does not grant permission to access data outside the customer's rights.
